Vegetarians, Gluten Free, Vegan--- How to handle this on your menu!

SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS- CAN STILL BE TASTY!

As a catering company we deal so much with different dietary needs that people have.  This can make a bride panic.. especially when important family members have tough restrictions.

Don't worry with us!  We can accommodate so many different needs and types of taste and cuisines.  And restrictions does not necessarily mean boring, you can be Vegan and still have exciting food!

A Vegan favorite stomping ground in LA is Real Food Daily - here is their link!  http://www.realfood.com/menu/daily-main-courses  Inspiration can come from anywhere!  Anything on this menu we can do- which is guaranteed to make your Vegan and Vegetarian Guests Happy!

Now Gluten Free is a very specific thing and a lot of people are not certain of what it means... so here is the definition:

Gluten free foods are free of wheat, barley, oat and rye. They are a must for persons who are living with Celiac's Disease, or people who have wheat allergies.

This means that there is a LOT of food that won't bother someone who has this allergy.  Meat products, seafood, vegetables, and a lot of starches are fine... this means that most of the meals we make are gluten free!  We specialize in the California Fresh cuisines- this mean organic and natural flavors.  We can do heavy sauces... but when the product is organic you don't need to hide the flavor in a
sauce.  And we normally don't.

Now of course there may be other allergies too to be aware of... one of the most common is the allergy to nuts or strawberries!  Check with your guests and find out!  We don't want someone being rushed by ambulance in the middle of your event!  And most people will let you know if they have a life threatening allergy!

Now remember you can't please everyone... on your wedding day you want to make sure you are pleased first!  Normally in a crowd of 100 people there are on average 2 to 5 people with allergies, and that's an easy enough number to make a meal for them that they will enjoy!

By the way, don't forget about your younger guests... those that are about 8 years old and younger!  For them we can also make a friendly menu!  A kid friendly menu might be chicken nuggets and fresh fruit,,, or quesadillas, or mini pizzas!  Any of this can be done for them!

We are here to help you with all the planning so please let us know what you need!  I promise we'll make it easy for you!

Happy planning everyone!

Best of wishes,
